The Heart Behind GG's Essence

"I didn't just make a product. I made a solution."

Born in Florida, GG's journey began early. When she was 9, her mother moved the family to Greenville, Mississippi — and life was anything but easy. As the eldest of 7 siblings, GG experienced foster care, hunger, and deep pain, yet she stood strong every step of the way, always protecting her younger brothers and sisters.

In 2000, she made a bold move to Atlanta to build a better life for her family. Years later, as her skin grew drier with age and her granddaughter Caylee developed acne at just 6 years old, GG turned to her kitchen — and never looked back.

What started in 2018 as a personal mission to find clean, effective skincare became GG's Essence — a line of handcrafted soaps, body butters, and body oils made with love in Georgia. Every product is free from harsh commercial ingredients and crafted the way GG learned: from a farm lady, YouTube, plenty of mistakes, and years of mastering her craft.

Today GG's Essence is more than skincare — it's a story of healing, resilience, and the power of knowing exactly what goes on your skin.
